Ministry Spotlight: Hospitality

Hospitality: Shekinah values hospitality and considers it a vital area of ministry within the church. The bible says,

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” – Romans 12:9–13

The biblical underpinnings of hospitality are love, generosity and a genuine heart to serve.

As we seek to “practice hospitality” Shekinah has many areas specifically you can serve in that will benefit the Body. One of these areas is in the assistance of planning, preparation, set-up and serving food during our social functions and events/conferences held at the church.

We are looking for more volunteers in this department! If you are interested in learning more about how you could serve on our hospitality team, email Deb Combs at
